OCR: Nomenclature Habitat Natural Physical Selection Description Blue-Spotted Ribbontail Ray Physical Description: The ray is approximately six feet long and three feet wide. Several blue spots cover its topside and its eyes are positioned on top of the head. The spinac/es are located behind the eyes. These are gill-like structures that take in water for breathing. The spinacles protect the actual gills, located on the ray's underside, from being filled with sand from the ocean floor. The ray's mouth is also located on its underside and its long tail is armed with a poisonous spine. Release Fish
